We want to start by thanking Inez Fagerlund, Bengt Thorselius and Giovanni Pattocchio for “long and faithful service” on the housing association’s board, especially considering all the time the extensive renovation has meant. Information about the new board is available on the notice board on the ground floor. Now that the board has more members and we can put the renovations of the facades behind us, we look forward to good collaboration to make living at Kyrkbacken as good as possible. What does the Board do?
They take decisions about incoming questions, make sure to maintain a pleasant environment and manage the association’s finances. The work is done during their free time in addition to full-time employment, children and family. Therefore, it can sometimes take some time to get an answer when you contact the board, but they do their best and welcome a dialogue with you as a member of the association.
Small venue available to rent
The venue located on Kyrkbacken 12, opposite the laundry room, can be rented for smaller gatherings and children’s parties. An equipped kitchen is available. If you’re interested, please contact the board for more information and to book the venue.
Summer is here! Sunshine, hanging in the balcony and barbecue
When the sunshine gets too bright
It is permitted to set up curtain rods or blinds that are attached to the wooden walls in the balcony. However, it is not allowed to drill, nail or paint balcony roofs or floors, and when the apartment is sold or vacated, the balcony will be inspected.
The love for flowers
If you want flower boxes in the balcony, they must be hung on the inside for safety reasons. This also applies to anyone who lives on the lower floor or in the basement floor.
Delicious BBQ, but not on the balcony
No barbecuing is allowed on the balconies as it is a fire hazard. Therefore, there are barbecue areas on Gula/Yellow and Röda/Red Gården. If you have used it, make sure to put out the fire properly as well as leaving it clean and nice for the next neighbor. Grills and other items that remain will be removed.

We live in apartment blocks and sounds are inevitable but we also need to show consideration to each other. So what’s the deal?
It is permitted to play music and to have a higher volume on the TV within reasonable limits on weekdays and weekends until 22:00.
Renovation work is permitted on weekdays between 07:00-20:00, and weekends between 10:00-16:00.
Is the neighbor bothering you?
Have a chat and let them know about it. The neighbor may not be aware of it and usually it gets better after they have been notified.
Are you planning for a party or any other amusements?
Put up a note on the gate and maybe also in the elevator well in advance. Acceptance usually increases remarkably if one has been informed beforehand. You are responsible for ensuring that visitors do not disturb your neighbors.
Bad smell is unacceptable in the stairwell!
Do not put food and household garbage in the stairwell while waiting to go to the garbage room. The unpleasant garbage scent that arises risks being drawn into your neighbor’s apartment.

Keep the thief away
Always make sure the front door closes properly and keep the doors closed. You have a shared responsibility with your neighbors to keep locked doors locked.

When transferring the apartment
At the sale of the apartment, a transfer inspection will be carried out by our technical manager before the new owner takes over.
The inspection is funded by the association, and the purpose is to give a statement about the technical state of the apartment. The control mainly concerns balcony, bathroom, ventilation, radiators, water and electrical installations. If there are remarks/defects that the owner is responsible for according to the statutes, it is the seller or buyer’s obligation to fix the remark.
Are you going to renovate the apartment?
If you are going to renovate the kitchen or bathroom, you must always submit a renovation application to the board. More information can be found on the association’s website www.kyrkbacken.se. If you are going to paint or put up wallpaper, you may do so without the board’s prior approval.
